6/12/2023 0 Comments Box eeprom bin xbox![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I put the dvd drive from the non working box into my working box, and it will boot retail games without a problem, the drive sounds ok too. if you dont hear the hdd initialize or you hear it not making the same "clicking" noises.then it's the hdd. if you dont hear the dvd drive spin, then it's could be a dvd drive error. then turn on the broken one and see if you hear the same thing. Turn your working one on, listen for the dvd drive to spin and the hdd to initialize. (pm me and i can email you an iso with the stuff and directions)Īnother thing i would do to see if it was a dvd error or hdd error is listen to the 2 xbox's start up. this wouldnt (or it might if it's an hdd unlocked/dvd error) fix it, but it gives you an error number.ī) hot swap the hdd and use XboxHdM to "reset" the xbox's hdd to it's default state. What im assuming happend is he softmodded it, and accidently unlocked the hdd.but again it could be a number of thing's.Ī) put a modchip in it. Putting a modchip wouldnt mean you could use the xbox, however it would give you an error number.Īnd since you get the "call customer service", it doesnt mean the board is fried.or there are solder splashes on it. 1.0's (and i think 1.1's) dont give error codes, so it could be any of the 21 different errors. Oh and it doesnt matter that you have a 1.0 i have one and it shows error codes most likely something on the board is fried check for solder spashes and other weird things Mr.INSANE wrote:Its not a harddrive error
